Delivery Timelines and Tracking

How long does international freight take?

Can I track my shipment in real time?

What shipping routes does AWAN operate?

Yes. Every shipment is assigned a tracking reference at dispatch. Live status updates are accessible via your client portal or emailed at each major checkpoint — departure, customs clearance, and delivery.

We handle freight across Europe, Asia-Pacific, North America, the Middle East, and sub-Saharan Africa. Multi-leg and transshipment routes are available for destinations without direct port access.

Standard ocean freight runs 18–35 days depending on origin and destination port. Air freight typically delivers in 3–7 business days. We confirm exact transit windows at booking.

Documentation, Duties, and Restrictions

What documents are required for customs clearance?

Does AWAN handle customs brokerage?

Are there prohibited or restricted goods?

Standard requirements include a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, and certificate of origin. Destination-specific documents — such as import permits or phytosanitary certificates — vary by commodity and country.

Certain goods — hazardous materials, controlled substances, and specific dual-use items — require special licensing or are prohibited outright. Contact our freight desk before booking to confirm your commodity's compliance status.

Yes. AWAN coordinates customs brokerage at origin and destination for all managed shipments. We prepare and file required declarations, liaise with border agencies, and flag any duty or tariff issues before they delay your cargo.

Rates, Inclusions, and Cargo Insurance

How is freight pricing calculated?

What does the quoted price include?

Is cargo insurance available?

Standard quotes cover origin pickup, export customs filing, ocean or air freight, and destination port handling. Import duties, inland delivery beyond the destination port, and insurance are quoted as add-ons.

All-risk cargo insurance is available for every shipment type. Coverage is calculated on declared cargo value. We recommend insurance for all FCL and high-value LCL consignments — it can be added at booking.

Rates are quoted flat-rate per shipment type — FCL, LCL, or air — based on cargo weight, volume, origin, and destination. Fuel surcharges and port handling fees are itemised separately on every quote.
